On 11-15 October 2022, the Nanyang Venture 12 (NV12) team from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Singapore participated in the Shell Eco-Marathon 2022 competition in Indonesia. 47 teams from 9 countries took part in this exciting event held at the Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit in Lombok, Indonesia. The goal of the competition is to build the most fuel efficient vehicle across different power sources (battery electric, Hydrogen and ICE) and categories (prototype and urban concept).

NV12’s HY12OGEN vehicle won the Vehicle Design – Urban Concept Award, Technical Innovation Award as well as 2nd place for the On-track competition. This remarkable achievement would not be possible without the sheer grit, tenacity and teamwork displayed by the NV12 team members to solve various technical problems under tremendous pressure throughout the competition. Spectronik is honored to have been part of the journey and look forward to supporting the NTU team again in future competitions.
